The Second International Conference on "The Quran and Science" will be held in December this year, organized by a group of scholars and researchers from both domestic and international institutions, with the support of the International Foundation for Quran and Science Studies (Kowsar), Ferdowsi University of Mashhad, the Academy of Sciences, the International Commission for the Development of Quranic Activities, the Permanent Committee for Scientific and Technological Cooperation of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and several other universities in the country.
This conference, in line with the movement to return to the Quran and develop science and technology based on divine teachings, aims to introduce new questions and open new horizons in understanding nature, inspired by the Quran’s references. It also pursues the following objectives:
- Creating an environment for creativity, originality, and innovation in scientific growth and development by choosing research topics based on Quranic scientific references.
- Increasing motivation and courage to engage in leading interdisciplinary research, especially in linking basic sciences and technology with cognitive, life, and medical sciences for a better understanding of divine verses.
- Establishing and managing international collaborations for prominent scientists to contribute to solving scientific problems defined by Muslim researchers.
- Presenting scientific research results in fields related to Quranic verses as a source for interpreters and religious thinkers.
